PORT DICKSON, March 25 - The International Institute of Aquaculture and Aquatic Science (I-AQUAS), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has organized a seminar on ‘I-AQUAS PRESENTATION RESEARCH SET UP 2021’. The seminar was held in Hatchery A Seminar Room, I-AQUAS, with the attendance of 10 participants and conducted by Prof. Dr. Aziz bin Arshad.
This seminar aims to provide a brief description of crab seed research conducted at I-AQUAS to help develop the crab industry in Malaysia. According to Prof. Dr. Aziz bin Arshad, the supply of crab seeds in Malaysia is declining. Among the participants of this seminar are Mr. Mokhalis who is interested in starting crab farming and Mr. Krishnan (Jakel) who is running a crab seed company.
Hopefully this seminar can help these entrepreneurs gain knowledge related to crab breeding that can contribute to the sustainability of crab production in Malaysia.
