PORT DICKSON, 14 April 2026 – The International Institute of Aquaculture and Aquatic Sciences (I-AQUAS), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), conducted a Self-Audit on Staffing and Organizational Management (AKPO) on Tuesday, 14 April 2026, at the Meeting Hall, Administration Building, I-AQUAS UPM Port Dickson.
The audit session was led by the auditor from the UPM Registrar’s Office, Mr. Mohamad Taufik bin Rahmat, and was attended by I-AQUAS staff involved in administrative, staffing, and organizational management matters. The implementation of this audit serves as an important initiative to ensure that the institute’s management system remains efficient, systematic, and in compliance with the university’s established guidelines and procedures.
The AKPO audit aims to evaluate the organizational structure, task distribution, staffing requirements, and the effectiveness of human resource management within the institute. In addition, the audit was conducted to identify areas for improvement in governance, operational efficiency, and service delivery in line with transparent, accountable, and integrity-driven management practices.
Throughout the audit session, various documents related to organizational and staffing management were reviewed and discussed with the officers involved. The session also provided an opportunity for I-AQUAS staff to receive guidance and clarification regarding procedures and organizational management improvements in a more comprehensive manner.
I-AQUAS extends its sincere appreciation and gratitude to the UPM Registrar’s Office and all staff members for their commitment and cooperation throughout the audit session. It is hoped that initiatives such as this will continue to strengthen the institute’s organizational management system and enhance administrative excellence in the future.
