    What does the I-AQUAS offers for the private sectors and industries?  

    Besides providing research hatchery facilities, I-AQUAS also offers services and facilities to the private sectors and industries co-ordinate by the service unit under the Sustainable Aquaculture Laboratory (AquaLab) and Laboratory Of Aquatic Ecosystems And Management (EcosystemLab). Nevertheless these units also provide professional consultations.

    Who can apply?

    All recognize scientist researchers, academicians in Aquaculture and Aquatic Sciences fields who receive research grants from the authorities, private agencies or international organization.

    What courses are offered ?  

    I-AQUAS offers Master of Science (MSc) and Doctorate Philosophy (PhD) by thesis.

    What field of studies offered?  

    At the moment, I-AQUAS offers five (5) new fields of studies, namely:

  • Aquaculture Biotechnology (AquaLab)
  • Mariculture (AquaLab)
  • Aquaculture Engineering (AquaLab)
  • Aquainformatics (EcosystemLab)
  • Marine Biology (EcosystemLab)
    • And seven (7) existing fields of studies
  • Aquatic Biotechnology
  • Marine Ecology and Biodiversity
  • Aquaculture
  • Genetics and Breeding
  • Fisheries Science
  • Marine and Freshwater Ecosysten
  • Environmental Pollution Control Technology

    How long does it take to complete Master and PhD?  

  • (i)  Doctoral Degree Programmes The  minimum  and  maximum  durations  of  study  are  two  (2)  years and five  (5)  years  respectively.
  • (ii)  Master’s Degree Programmes The  minimum  and  maximum  durations  of  study  are  one  (1)  year and three  (3)  years  respectively

    Who is the researcher to be choose as the supervisor if I am interested in continuing my studies at I-AQUAS?

    For each laboratory in I-AQUAS, there are Research Associates who contribute to each research activity. You can contact the relevant researcher if interested in becoming his or her supervised student. The following is a link to the list of Research Associates for each laboratory:
