20 September 2023 - I-AQUAS, has held an awareness program titled "Plastic Pollution Campaign" with Sekolah Kebangsaan Panglima Adnan in Port Dickson. The program involved students from special education and integration programs, and aimed to raise awareness about plastic pollution and its effect on marine life.
The activities in this program were very effective in increasing students' understanding of plastic pollution. The initiative included several activities such as the showing of awareness videos exposing the devastating impact of plastic pollution on marine ecosystems. Students were also given in-depth information on ways to reduce the use of plastic in their daily lives.
One of the interesting aspects of the program was the sand therapy activity that took place on the beach. This activity not only gave students the opportunity to relax by the beach, but also helped them to better appreciate the natural beauty of nature and the importance of protecting our beaches and seas.
In the middle of the day, students were taught how to plant trees in plastic containers. This is a meaningful step in encouraging students to take responsibility for the environment and reduce the generation of discarded plastic.
This awareness program "Plastic Pollution Campaign" is an important step in the effort to reduce plastic pollution and protect our natural environment. I-AQUAS hopes that programs like this will continue to be held to build awareness and preserve our nature in the future.
