Port Dickson, 14 August 2025 – The International Institute of Aquaculture and Aquatic Sciences (I-AQUAS), Universiti Putra Malaysia, held a full rehearsal for the Independence Day Celebration at 10 a.m. with the full participation of all staff. This rehearsal served as an important preparation to ensure that the official event on 15 August 2025 runs smoothly and in an orderly manner.
Throughout the session, the rehearsal focused on the arrangement of the programme, time management, and participant coordination. Particular emphasis was also placed on discipline, guest reception, and the presentation of performances that will later be evaluated by a panel of judges. The rehearsal not only tested the readiness of staff but also highlighted their strong commitment to making this meaningful annual event a success.
In line with the patriotic spirit, decoration works around I-AQUAS were carried out from 11 to 14 August 2025 in the afternoons. Activities included the installation of Jalur Gemilang flags across the compound, the construction of a unique “Merdeka Buffalo” replica, and the creation of slogans using recycled materials. These creative efforts reflect innovation, love for the nation, and awareness of environmental sustainability.
On the day of the celebration, judges from UPM’s Main Hall will be present to evaluate and award marks for creativity and the patriotic expression showcased by I-AQUAS staff. The wholehearted involvement of staff clearly demonstrates the values of togetherness, teamwork, and deep patriotism.
With these meticulous preparations, the Independence Day Celebration at I-AQUAS is expected to be lively and meaningful, fostering gratitude for the nation’s independence while strengthening unity among the institute’s community.
