I-AQUAS, UPM Port Dickson Campus, 14 May 2023 - On 13 and 14 May 2023, the Faculty of Sports & Recreation Science (UiTM Cawangan Negeri Sembilan, Seremban 3 Campus) has organized an Outdoor Recreation program: Practical and Safety Kayak Expedition. The two-day program attracted 151 participants who were eager to join this exciting activity.

The program began with a kayaking expedition from Pantai Batu 6 to Batu 4 and back, a distance of 10 kilometers. Participants involved in the program were given basic kayaking training before embarking on the trip to ensure their safety. They were taught proper techniques and safety measures to take while in the water.

In addition, participants were also involved in corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities with the cleanup of Pulau Terumbu. During the activity, participants managed to collect more than 100 kilograms of marine debris consisting of bottles, polysterine, and plastic. This effort is a small step towards maintaining the marine environment and promoting awareness of the importance of cleanliness.

Through the program, participants had the opportunity to learn outdoor recreation skills while taking responsibility for the environment. It is hoped that such a program can be continued in the future to further strengthen participants' interest in outdoor recreation and the preservation of the natural environment.
