20 June, I-AQUAS, Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan - In an effort to advance the aquaculture and seafood industry, DaNAGREEN and I-AQUAS held a strategic meeting on June 20, 2023, at the administrative building of I-AQUAS, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in the Port Dickson Campus, Negeri Sembilan.

This important meeting, held from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM, The discussions focus on the potential cooperation in research projects, as well as the transfer of knowledge to enhance the performance of this industry.

In addition to the strategic discussions, meeting participants were also invited to visit Hatchery. During the visit, they had the opportunity to directly observe several important species in aquaculture, such as Latok (Caulerpa lentillifera), Blue Crab, Oysters, and Microalgae collection. The purpose of this visit was to provide a deeper understanding of the maintenance and development of these species in the context of research and the development of the aquaculture industry.

The meeting between DaNAGREEN and I-AQUAS is expected to open doors to closer collaboration between both parties, as well as to have a positive impact on the development and growth of the aquaculture and seafood industry in Malaysia and internationally. This is an important step in strengthening synergy and knowledge transfer between research organizations and the industry to advance the potential of the country's aquatic resources and meet the increasing demand for sustainable seafood.
