The International Institute of Aquaculture and Aquatic Sciences (I-AQUAS) was delighted to receive a courtesy visit from Yang Berhormat Tuan Fahmi Zainol, Exco Agrotechnology & Food Security and Cooperative Development, Kerajaan Negeri Pulau Pinang. The visit aims to explore the aquaculture potential of I-AQUAS as well as possible collaboration opportunities between the State Government of Pulau Pinang and this institute. Tuan Fahmi Zainol was warmly welcomed by the Director of I-AQUAS, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Zaharin Aris and other members of the I-AQUAS Management. He was also briefed on the role and efforts undertaken by I-AQUAS in the field of aquaculture and aquatic science investigations. The visit involved a tour of the aquaculture facilities at I-AQUAS. Based on the visit, discussions were also made on opportunities for cooperation between the Kingdom of Pulau Pinang and I-AQUAS in an effort to advance the aquaculture sector. This includes I-AQUAS' ability to offer training programs, researcher exchanges, and other initiatives that will benefit the aquaculture industry in Pulau Pinang.
