PORT DICKSON, Jan 11 - The International Institute of Aquaculture and Aquatic Sciences (I-AQUAS), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) is capable of meeting the demands of the national industry and community in the field of aquaculture and aquatic sciences. UPM Vice Chancellor, Dato’ Prof. Dr. Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah touched on the importance of skills in handling a research, especially among staff involved with the hatchery work of I-AQUAS, UPM. “These skills need to be shared with the younger generation of staff to ensure that these skills continue to ensure that I-AQUAS, UPM is always excellent and relevant in line with strengthening the country’s food security,” he said. In the meantime, Dato’ Prof. Dr. Ahmad Farhan, along with the University Management Committee (JPU), UPM yesterday also took the opportunity to visit around the I-AQUAS, UPM area including aquaculture and marine research facilities. The visit was then concluded with the release of 40 crab seeds on the beach opposite I-AQUAS, UPM.
