I-AQUAS Translational Program: Blue Swimming Crab Stock Enhancement in Sungai Rambai, Melaka
The I-AQUAS Translational Program aims to strengthen social transformation within the fishing community of Sungai Rambai, Melaka. This program provides community support through the supply of high-quality blue swimming crab seed, technical training, and capacity building in aquaculture management.

Program Objectives:
Community Capacity Building To transfer knowledge and skills for managing blue swimming crab stock to the local fishing community, aimed at improving their income and quality of life.
Socioeconomic Assessment To conduct research on the socioeconomic status of the community before and after the program to identify viable economic activities.
Collaboration and Engagement To establish cooperation with authorities such as the Malaysian Fisheries Development Authority (LKIM) and the Department of Fisheries to ensure the program's effectiveness and sustainability.
Production of High-Quality Crab Seed To provide high-quality blue swimming crab seed for release into local waters, supporting both increased community catch and conservation efforts.
Capacity Building and Social Innovation To enhance community acceptance of new aquaculture technology and innovation, supporting the long-term sustainability of the local fisheries industry.
