Aquatic Life Repository Unit

OBJECTIVES: 

  1. Aquatic Biodiversity Conservation: To collect, catalog, and preserve aquatic life specimens and biological samples for future research, education, and biodiversity conservation.

  2. Scientific Reference Center: To serve as a reference center for aquatic life specimens, genetic materials, and biological samples used in scientific research, including taxonomic and ecological studies.

  3. Support for Research and Education: To provide access to relevant specimens and data to support research activities, education, and other uses by the scientific community.

  4. Endangered Species Monitoring and Management: To support the monitoring and conservation of endangered aquatic species through specimen storage and study.

  5. Facilitation of International Collaboration: To develop collaborative networks with other research institutions internationally to advance aquatic biodiversity research.

These objectives aim to ensure the sustainability of aquatic biodiversity and provide a platform for in-depth studies of aquatic life.
