Laboratory of Sustainable Aquaculture (AquaLab)

Sustainable Aquaculture Laboratory is one of the laboratories under I-AQUAS. The role of this laboratory is to conduct research for development and enhancement of the aquaculture sector. The research focus of this lab includes genetics and breeding, nutritional studies, culture of various marine aquatic species, live food culture, aquatic animal health management, probiotics, bioremediation, bioflocs and quorum sensing. The research emphasizes on enhancing production and improving aquaculture sustainability in Malaysia. In addition, the laboratory also provides  specialized training services on various topics related to aquaculture to the public, staff and students.
